- In Implant Reabilitations in anterior areas we need to obtain the maximum aesthetics and functionality and keep them a lot;
- Objectives to reach are: 2mm of keratinized mucosa width, 2/3mm of mucosal thickness, 3 mm of supracrestal tissue heights and adeguate (2mm minimum) of periimplant bone thickness;
- The therapies and the times to reach these results could be differents, and in this webinar i describe how to do it to obtain an implant success in a particular anatomic area of mouth: incisive zone in which we have often a lack of bone and soft tissue;
- Starting from an analysis of Literature today we have the techniques and the materials to create an ideal Implant reabilitation identical to natural tooth.
- In this second part of lesson about phenotype I describe several clinical situations in aesthetics area with dirrerent levels of difficulty analyzing them through clinical, functional and aesthetics parameters;
- I'll show, in these different clinical cases with a lot of photos of every single step and video, how to solve the therapy and to obtain the aesthetics and functional success.
- Today when we approach to tooth extraction or Immediate implant position we have to manage the soft tissue, we don't have to loose the hight and thickness of gum, and we usually use socket seal to cover the alveolo and to protect and stabilize the graft or the clot;
- The Literature analysis underline the possibility to use connective tissue punch from palato or retromolar area, or suine collagen matrix (xenogenic);
- Nowadays we can obtain similar results with both techniques but i'll show how to choose the best approach depending of a series of clinical and aesthetics considerations and how to obtain the best profit from each procedure.
- When we have to extract a tooth, especially in anterior area of mouth, we have to decide the timing of implant position to obtain the best results from functional and aesthetics point of view;
- The post extractive implant therapy could be type 1 (immediate), type 2 (6/8 weeks after), type 3 (16-20 weeks after), type 4 (after 6 months);
- The analysis of clinical situations and of the risk factors can lead us to choose the right therapeutic approach, and to manage the ideal bone and soft tissue correction to match with implant position;
- The target is to recreate the ideal Implant Phenotype and we can't go wrong, otherwise we could have serious implant failure.
Filippo Tonarelli
- He graduated in 1997 with honors in Dentistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", has Improved in 2000 in Oral Implantology at the same University;
- From 2000 to 2003 he was a consultant at the First Aid Dental University Hospital of Tor Vergata, Rome;
- From 1998 to 2003 he worked as clinical and scientific research in the Department of Periodontology and Odontostomatology Clinic of the University of Rome Tor Vergata;
- Teaching Assistant in Periodontology 1999 to 2003, he worked as supplementary teaching for the Degree Course in Dentistry and Master of Science in Dental Hygiene at the University Tor Vergata, Rome;
- Professor of Oral Anatomy and Periodontology in 2002 and 2003 in the course for Dental Assistant at the University of Rome Tor Vergata;
- Ordinary member SIDP, SIO, SICOI, and a member of the Italian section of the ITI, and Massironi Study Club.
